Andrew Douglas Chadd

Andrew Douglas Chadd, 62, of Cape Girardeau, passed away on January 8, 2024, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born on August 25, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Ronald and Charlene (DeHart) Chadd Sr. Andrew was a graduate of Festus High School in Festus, MO.

He enjoyed playing guitar and listening to the blues. Eric Clapton and BB King were a couple of his favorite artists. When he wasn’t playing music, you could find him shooting guns and riding four-wheelers. He was a skilled marksman with a gun, and enjoyed deer hunting.

Andrew and Linda Sue Welch were united in marriage on May 12, 1995, in Jackson, MO. They celebrated 28 years of marriage together in 2023.

Survivors include: his wife Linda Sue Chadd of Cape Girardeau; his father: Ronald Chadd Sr. of Glen Allen; one son: Christopher Chadd of Festus; three brothers: Ronald (Dawn) Chadd Jr. of Arnold, MO, Darrell (Kim) Chadd of St. Charles, MO, Patrick Chadd of Glen Allen; and one granddaughter: Sophia Chadd; one nephew and one niece: Jennifer and Oliver. 

Servies will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Bro. Jason Myers officiating.
