Anna Mae Hahn, 81, of Marble Hill, Missouri, died September 18, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Born on December 4, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, she was the daughter of Tommy Cecil and Mattie Kathern Calhoun Retherford.
On June 7, 1958, at Scopus, Mo., she and John Henry Hahn were married. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1994.
She worked most of her life for area shoe factories, International Shoe and Florsheim, and at Lee Rowan.
She was a long-time member of Harmony Congregational Methodist Church, and recently joined New Salem Baptist Church to worship with her family. Her home was her haven, and she feed the birds, enjoyed her dogs and cats, read, and pieced puzzles.
Survivors include a son, Dewey Hahn of Leopold, Mo.; a daughter, Marcia (Mitchell) Wilkinson of Marble Hill; four brothers: Ronald Retherford of Colorado, David Retherford of Oak Ridge, Mo., Charles Retherford and Michael Retherford both of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and two great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will begin at noon with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
