Barbara Ann Mason, 75, of Cape Girardeau, passed away peacefully, in her home full of love, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on August 5, 1948, to the late Otis and Hazel (Rumfelt) Terry, in Oreole, Missouri.
Barbara was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and genealogy research. She adored her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. She had a great passion for good food. Barbara liked to garden and tend to her flowers. She liked to sing and was known to crack jokes with everyone.
Barbara was the strongest person to her children, and they were grateful of the privilege to call her, mom.
She is survived by one daughter: Danetta Mason; one sister: Martha Heider; four grandchildren: Hunter, Dylan and Aidan Mason and Tess Seabaugh. She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband Ernest Mason Jr.; two sons: Ernest and Jason Mason; one daughter: Andrea Mason; brothers: Donald, Norman, Richard, Charles, George, Roy, and Christopher Terry; sisters: Betty Pieper and Earlene Moore.
The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is assisting the family with Mrs. Mason’s wishes. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am and Memorial Service will be held on at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Lynwood Baptist in Cape Girardeau.
