Barbara Jean Morris, 71, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at Saint Louis University Hospital. Born on June 27, 1953, in Wadena, Minnesota. Barbara lived a life full of love, laughter, and selfless care for those around her.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Barbara was the heart of her family and a source of unwavering strength. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a homemaker, always putting her family first. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where anyone could find comfort, encouragement, and maybe even a warm meal or a listening ear.
Barbara was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church and loved her church community dearly. Her Sundays were filled with fellowship, and her faith was a guiding light in her life.
Those who knew Barbara knew of her unshakable love for Bingo, no matter how she felt, she was always ready for a game. She also enjoyed relaxing with her favorite western and romance movies, and she had the rare gift of never meeting a stranger. Her circle of friends was large and ever-growing, and she made everyone feel like family. A constant companion, her little black poodle, Midnight, was always close by, bringing her comfort.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Morris; her son, Josh Wiggins; daughters, Amanda Wiggins, Theresa Jones, Elizabeth Lord, and Shannon Hernandez; step children: Christina Parr and Lee Willis; her brothers, Larry Haffner, Wayne Haffner, Alton Haffner, and Kenny Haffner; her sisters, Nancy Clifton, Susan Haffner, and Roberta Legate; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August Haffner and Marjorie (Erickson) Haffner; her brothers, Billy and Wayne Haffner; and her sister, Bonnie Haffner.
Services will be held on Monday, June 16th, 2025, at New Salem Baptist Church in Marble Hill, Missouri. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:00 am. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am, with Bro. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery.
