Betty June Adams, 83, of Marquand, passed away on February 11, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 9, 1941, to the late Benjamin Shelton and Eula Conrad, in Lixville, Missouri.
Betty loved beagle pups. When she eighteen years old, she contacted a gentleman named Van Adams about getting a beagle puppy. She not only received a pup, but she was also married to Van on September 29, 1958. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1980.
She loved to read and watch westerns. She enjoyed Bonanza, Gunsmoke and The Rifleman. Betty was a homemaker. She raised a garden, canned and was great at making baked goods. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons: Darell Adams, Douglas Adams; daughter: Gladys Marie (John) Cureton; grandchildren: Vanessa, Shane, Christina, Ciera, Levi and Katelynn; great grandchildren: Aubrey, Charlotte, Emma, Bentley, Ayden, Anna Marie, Finn, Sawyer, Eli, Kinsleigh and Carson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son: Van Wesley Adams; and a sister: Juanita Cohen.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel.
