Billy Mitchell Brashers, 75, of Gordonville, Mo., died June 15, 2022, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Born on Jan 17, 1947, in Charleston, Mo., he was the son of the late Charles William, Jr. and Genevieve Vernon Brashers. He and Judy Ann Garner were married on April 22, 1967, in Ferguson, Mo. She survives.
He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and had worked as a public accountant. His hobbies included reading, biking, golf. and loving to laugh and joke with all. He was a faithful Christ follower, attending the Marble Hill Bible Chapel for the past 40 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Brashers; three daughters: Shannon N. Brashers of Sikeston, Mo, Kerry A. Brashers of Cape Girardeau, and Bobra N Brashers of Jackson, Mo; a sister, Gwendolyn I. Watson of Belton, S.C.; and a brother, Terrance E. Brashers of Nixa, Mo. His parents and three grandchildren preceded him in death.
Burial will be on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Missouri Veterans' Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., at Noon. A Memorial Service will be held at the Marble Hill Bible Chapel, 109 Poplar Street, Marble Hill, Mo., on Saturday, June 18, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
