Bobby Gene Brown

Bobby Gene Brown, 79, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away on February 26, 2023 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.  Bobby was born December 31, 1943 to the late William and Nora (York) Brown in Riesel, Texas.

Bobby worked at P&G for 30 years until he retired in 1999. After retiring, he spent time as an over the road truck driver with his son.  He also enjoyed riding a motorcycle in his younger years.  Bobby was a United States Army Veteran. He joined the service on May 12, 1965 and received his honorable discharge on April 27, 1967. 

On April 16, 1981, Bobby and Margaret Wainscott were united in marriage. She survives.

Survivors include: his wife: Margaret of Marble Hill, MO; two sons: Chris (Dixie) Brown of Marble Hill, MO, Robby Brown of Cape Girardeau, MO; three brothers: William Brown of Richmond, MO, Larry (Brenda) Brown of Auxvasse, MO, Billy (Debby) Brown of Herculaneum, MO; four sisters: Linda (Terry) Weinrich of Marble Hill, MO, Carolyn Mautino of Jackson, MO, Joyce (Al) Vance of Hawk Point, MO, Dorothy “Dot” Masters of Cape Girardeau, MO; four grandchildren: Brooke, Bethany, Paige, Aaron; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son: BJ Brown; three brothers: Lee Brown, Hubert Brown, Charles Brown; and one sister: Elsie Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Weinrich, Doug Kohler, Keenan Pryor and Joey Mautino. Chris Brown will officiate the service for his father.

Services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, IL at a later date.
