Bonnie Louise (Bess) Jaco

Bonnie Louise (Bess) Jaco, age 80, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at Stonebridge Senior Living in Marble Hill.

Born on July 1, 1945, in Trailback, Missouri, to the late Chester Bess and Mickey (Cook) Bess. United in marriage to her late husband, Leon Jaco, on June 3, 1961, in Grayridge, MO.

Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a heart for helping others and dedicated much of her life to caring for those around her. In 1984, she was accepted into nursing school and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She served as a charge nurse at a local nursing home and worked for Dr. Englehart and Dr. George, leaving a lasting impact on countless patients and families.

She loved spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Bonnie was also a proud post member of the American Legion. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to caring for others defined her life.

She is survived by her son, Chris Jaco; brother, Don Bess; sisters, Brenda O’Connell, Janet Bracken, and Sheila Bess; grandchildren, Eric (Luci) Jaco, Chandler (Tucker) Chaney, and Collin (Miranda) Ritter; and great-grandchildren, Jade Jaco, Alison Jaco, and RaeAnne Jaco.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eric Leon Jaco; son, David Jaco; daughter, Angie Tanner; brothers, Jack Bess and Ken Bess; and sisters, Betty Whitley and Mary Jane Bess.

Pallbearers will be Jack Bess, Raymond Storie, Brad Bracken, Tucker Chaney, Jeremy Barks and Eric Jaco. 

Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Funeral Service will be beginning at 1:00pm, with Shawn Cook officiating. Burial will follow at McGee New Hope Cemetery near Arab, MO.
