Bryan Deck Obituary

Bryan Walter Deck departed this earthly life on February 11, 2025 surrounded by his family and friends, who were blessed to walk his life’s journey with him.  They are comforted to know that he achieved his heavenly reward and that he is the first of us to get to see Robbie again. Bryan was born on December 19, 1975, to Paul Robert “Robbie” and Cecilia Deck.  He was united in marriage to Tracy Renae Eckhoff on July 1, 2000. They welcomed their son, Zachary Scott Deck on May 10, 1999.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Tracy; son, Zachary; grandson, Landon Kirn; his mother, Cecilia Deck-Georger and stepfather, Elmer Georger; his siblings: Ella and Curt Vajnar, Doug and Sarah Deck, Patricia Deck, Susie and Will McCrimmons, and Mark and Nikki Deck, four stepsiblings, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Walter and Mary Anna Jansen, paternal grandparents, Paul and Laura Deck, paternal aunts, Mary Ann Rogers and Polly Sitze, and maternal uncle, Abraham Jansen.

Bryan was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. He was a proud 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Isidore Council #5898. He spent many mornings cooking and completing projects for the Knights of Columbus. Bryan had a servant’s heart, and nothing gave him greater joy than helping others. He worked at Greenbrier (ARI) Industries for more than 20 years. Bryan loved fishing and hunting. He showed many folks around town exactly how a deer should be processed.

Bryan viewed challenges as just a “bump in the road”.  He treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. He did not meet a stranger. In minutes after meeting Bryan, he would have you smiling and laughing. His positive attitude and generous spirit would lift everyone’s mood. His love for Tracy and Zach was beyond fierce. He worked hard to give them memories and gifts that will last an eternity. We cannot even recount the number of times he would brag to others about his love for them. Bryan never forgot to remind his family and friends how much he treasured them. He always took the time to slow down for his nieces and nephews. Some of the greatest memories will always be Bryan fishing and hunting with his nieces and nephews.

The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to Journey Hospice in Bryan’s memory.
