Carbin Edward Elledge, 88, of Marble Hill, Mo., died August 15, 2021, at Woodland Hills in Marble Hill. Born on February 11, 1933, he was the son of Sherman and Alma Baker Elledge. He and Shirley Jean Curtis were married August 29, 1959.
She survives.
He was a union laborer retiring from Big River Zinc in Sauget, Ill. His favorite past time was gardening. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Roy Elledge of Vienna, Ill; two daughters: Amy (Bryan) Gamblin of Columbia, Ill., and Vicky Nunn of Barnhart, Mo; by a sister, Nola Braddy of Washington; and by four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Bill Richard, Milford, Paul, and Robert Elledge; and three sisters: Eleanor Reed, Jewell Jung, and Hazel James.
Visitation will be at Hutchings Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
Graveside military honors will be conducted at 12:15 p.m. at Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill. Interment will follow.
