Charles Eugene Sweeney

Charles Eugene Sweeney, age 90, of Burfordville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on November 30, 2025.

He was born on June 3, 1935, in St. Louis City, to the late Noel and Thelma (Camden) Sweeney. Charles and Helen were united in marriage on February 12, 1955 until her passing on August 8, 2025.

Charles was a devoted father, a faithful husband, and a man known for his unwavering work ethic always looking to provide a wonderful life for his family. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Later in life, he especially enjoyed camping with his son, finding joy in the outdoors and the simple adventures along the way.

He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Hohmann and Gloria Krueger; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Helen; and his son, John Sweeney.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri at 1:00pm.
