Daniel Rene Labruyere, 67, of Cape Girardeau, passed away on June 21, 2024, at the St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on January 31, 1957, in St. Louis, to James and Genevieve (Dumont) Labruyere.
Daniel worked for many years as a land surveyor. He enjoyed hiking and spending time outdoors. He was a wine connoisseur and enjoyed a fine wine. Daniel was devoted to his faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. He was an elder in the church and served for 35 years.
Daniel and Pamela Goines were married on December 22, 1979. He and Pam raised three children, Lucas, Jacob and Danielle during their 44 years of marriage. As the grandchildren came along, Daniel could always be found spending time with his grandbabies.
Survivors include his mother: Genevieve Labruyere; wife: Pamela Labruyere; two sons: Lucas (Allison) Labruyere, Jacob (Sierra) Labruyere; daughter: Danielle (Jeramie) Soderlund; grandchildren: Adrian and Aria Soderlund; two sisters: Brenda (Leon) Hamberg, Colette Labruyere; brother-in-law: Eric Ray (Sylvia) Goines; nephews: Scott (Catalina) Hamberg, Eric Shane (Shaina) Goines.
The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is in charge of Daniel’s final wishes.
