David Marion Light, Jr., 55, of Marble Hill, Mo., died January 18, 2022.
Born in Columbia, Mo., on June 6, 1966, he was the son of David Marion and Francis Louise Malone Light, Sr. He married Carol Jean Suprise, and she survives.
David spent many years working for local sawmills. He loved riding and working on motorcycles, and was a big fan of muscles cars, especially Camaros. He was a die-hard Forty-niner’s football fan. Strong Tower Assembly – Balch Chapel was his church family.
He is survived by his wife; by children: Brandon Suprise and David Light, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Candi Pennebaker of Marble Hill; and Steven Light of Bernie, Mo; by two sisters: Jeannie Waller of Puxico, Mo., and Dianna Conner of Grassy, Mo.; by his father and stepmother, David and Diane Light, Sr.; and grandchildren: Logan and Emersyn Suprise and Cason Tice; Ryan, Lucas, and Brooklyn Light; and Abbey and Oliver Tinsley and Cooper Light. He was preceded in death by his mother and a grandson, Levi Light.
Many other aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends will mourn his passing.
A memorial service is being planned for Saturday, January 29, 2022, at his church, Strong Tower Assembly – Balch Chapel. Hutchings Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
