Deborah Yount Obituary
Deborah Jean Yount, 73, of Jackson, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on September 20, 2025. She was born June 26, 1952. On December 20, 1975, she married the love of her life, Billy C. Yount, at Plainview Church near Marble Hill. They shared 37 beautiful years together until his passing in 2013.
Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Yount; her parents, Gerald and Betty Coleman; her son, Curtis Lee Yount; and three of her sisters, Sharon Probst, Marsha Griffin, and Ruby McCoy.
She was a devoted mother who was very proud of her children and loved them deeply.
She is survived by James Yount of Cookson, OK; Chris (Amy) Yount of Marble Hill, MO; Angela (Paul) Long of Jackson, MO; Ashley (James) Sumner of Jackson, MO; her siblings, Jerry Coleman of Jackson, MO; Karen (Albert) Blumenberg of Jackson, MO; Wanda Dees of Jackson, MO; Rosie Cook of Marquand, MO; Fred Coleman of Marble Hill, MO; Garry (Amy) Coleman of Cape Girardeau, MO; Beth (Kevin) Werner of Jackson, MO; and Larry (Shawna) Coleman of Marble Hill, MO. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Billie Jean Yount, CoraBeth Yount, Gabriel Yount, Chloe Yount, Kaiden Yount, Kaylee Shrum, Kyle Yount, Noah Thele, Colton Yount, Reese Long, and Becca Sumner, along with 10 great-grandchildren.
Deborah will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of horses and dogs, her playful sense of humor, and the joy she found in playing gospel music on the piano. She loved and cherished her family deeply, and more than anything, she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She will be dearly missed and forever cherished. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Billy Thorne, Bobby Thorne, Austin Croy, Gabriel Yount, Paul Long, and Kyle Yount. Honorary Pallbearers include Colton Yount, Reese Long, and Austin Macke.
Services are being handled by Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00am - 11:00am with Funeral beginning at 11:00am on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Marquand, MO.
