Dixie June (Manley) Troyer

Dixie June Troyer, 77, of Cape Girardeau, passed away on April 18, 2024, at her home. She was born on April 21, 1946, to the late Donald and Evelyn (Hill) Manley, in Enid, Oklahoma. She was a high school graduate of Oakland, CA. She later attended Diablo Valley Community College, where she obtained a degree in Communications.  

She and Bruce Troyer were united in marriage on August 13, 1972. He preceded her in death in November of 1992. Dixie loved her family and would do anything she could to help them succeed. She was an extremely generous person with a very loving, forgiving heart. Her grandchildren were her “babies”, and always her priority. Dixie loved to see blooming flowers, and always had potted plants blooming around her home. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 139. Two of her favorite songs were Amazing Grave and The Old Rugged Cross.

She is survived by three children, twenty-three grandchildren and three siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sibling.

The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is assisting the family during this time. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 25, 2024, at 12:00 PM, at Lake Girardeau.
