Donald D. Caldwell Jr., age 83, of Marble Hill, passed away at St. Francis Hospital on December 13, 2025. Don was born on September 14, 1942, to the late Donald D. Caldwell Sr. and Helen Mae (Berry) Caldwell.
Don owned and operated Don’s Store 24 in Cape Girardeau, MO. After 47 years, he retired and moved to his family farm. He loved to play golf and fish. Don served in the United States Army and National Guard.
Don is survived by his wife: Linda Caldwell; two daughters: Bobbie Jo Beasley of Marble Hill and Sherrie (Johnny) Schlenker of Chaffee; granddaughters: Ashtan (Josh Huffman) Beasley of Marble Hill and Alyssa Bentley of Chaffee; 5 great grandchildren: Arianna, Bentley, Avery, Eli and Paityn; sisters: Lousie (Gary) Hahn and Ernestine (Forrest) Kidd, both of Cape Girardeau, Carol (Bill) Fetterhoff of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Donald D. Caldwell III.
The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is assisting the family during this time. At Don’s request, he did not want a funeral service.
