Donald Ray Smith

Donald Ray Smith, 68, passed away at his home on March 15, 2025. He was born on April 12, 1956, to the late Edward Smith and Elsie Kent, in Desoto, Missouri. He attended Desoto High School.

Donald spent 18 years of marriage to his sweetheart, Sharon Johnson. They had two children, Susie and Donald Jr.

He liked to ride his motorcycle and was especially fond of his Harley Davidson. He drove a dump truck for several years of his life and was a jack of all trades. Donald like to shoot craps with his family and enjoyed all the time he could spend with his children and grandchildren.  He was a huge cut up and loved to laugh and have fun.

He is survived by his son: Donald Ray Smith Jr.; Susie Smith; siblings: Bruce Smith, David Smith; grandchildren: Haley Smith, Katelynn Smith, Serinitey (Mason Dozier) Womack, Lacie Phillips, Karson Garcia; great grandchildren: Brooks Dozier, Jaeden Cooper and La’Ray Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Buddy, Harold and Raymond Smith and Sandra Boyer.

The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is assisting the family with Donald’s final wishes.
