John Dale Englehart, D.O., aged 90, of Marble Hill, Missouri passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord July 12, 2025.
He was born April 21, 1935, in Elvins, Missouri to Mason Dale and Mary Helen (James) Englehart. His father led John at age 12 to accept Christ as his Savior. The deep longing of John's heart became one prayer: "Lord, I want to be your man."
John married Betty Jean Johns of Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1959. Graduating Kirksville College of Osteopathy, they returned to his hometown where they raised their children, and he practiced family medicine for 40 years. John valued his wonderful clinic staff and regarded the people of Marble Hill, Lutesville, Leopold and surrounding communities with his deepest affection and respect.
John loved, most especially, remembering the Lord Jesus Christ with Jean among the saints at Marble Hill Bible Chapel for over 60 years.
Missouri wildlife. the American west. History, poetry and Scripture study; the human body; horses, firearms, cars, and friendly competition...all captured his imagination and created opportunities to connect with people. He made it all so fun.
John is survived by his wife Jean, daughter Deborah (Tom) Beal, sons John Andrew (Suzanne) and Robert Mason (Susan) Englehart, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grands.
He is also survived by his sisters Barbara (Bob) McDermott and Mary (David) Cartwright, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers are Rick Underwood, Dave Thomas, Dave Conrad, Jim Bollinger, Ron Lutes, Phillip Hutson and Jennings Wilkinson.
