Duaine Alvin Moser

Duaine Alvin Moser, 91, of Grassy, MO, passed away January 4, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Duaine was born January 1, 1932, in Liberty Township, WI, to the late Joseph and Edna (Holmes) Moser.

He was a 1950 graduate of New London High School, in New London, WI. During his high school years, Duaine was a champion archer. After graduation, Duaine and Judith Suprise were united in marriage on December 4, 1976 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lanark, WI. They celebrated 46 years of marriage, this past December.

Duaine was a Mason for 55 years and member of the West View Lodge #103. He and Judith attended Glen Allen United Methodist Church, and were members since April of 1979, where he was a Sunday school teacher. He was an avid gardener, with a great love of flowers, birds and nature. He loved farming, raising cattle, mowing and baling hay. Some might say he was a quiet man, but that was only until a Green Bay Packers or St. Louis Cardinals game came on. He was very supportive of the Woodland Cardinals and he held a lifetime sports pass to all their games.

He will be truly missed by his family, friends, fellow Masonic brothers and all those he touched over his 91 years.

Survivors include: his wife of 46 years, Judith; two sons: Chris (Dawn) Moser of Cape Girardeau, MO, Andrew (Karrin) Moser of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters: Sarah (Kevin) Miller of Glen Allen, MO, Tammy (Greg) Falconer of Chanhassen, MN; nine grandchildren: Taylor (David) Mortenson, Lucas Chronister, Kyle Wardall, Brenton Wardall, Avery Zillman, Frank Moser, Vivian Moser, Meredith Moser and Addyson Moser.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ronald and Gerald Moser; three sisters: Marciel (Charles) Whitman, Ardyss (Donald) Detra and Vernice (Irv) Arndt.

Pallbearers will be: Kyle Wardall, Brenton Wardall, Lucas Chronister, Dustin Hollender, David Mortenson and Rusty Detra. Honorary pallbearers are Avery Zillman and Frank Moser.

Services will be held on January 11, 2023 at Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM. Masonic Rites will be held at 12:30 PM, with the funeral service to follow directly after. Burial will be at Grassy Friendship Cemetery near Grassy, MO. Bro. Otis Long will officiate.
