Earnest Odell “Doc” Cureton, 83, of Crowder, MO, passed away February 4, 2022 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Earnest was born September 8, 1938, to the late Charley and Iona (Skaggs) Cureton. Earnest spent the majority of his life farming and deer hunting with his family and friends.
Earnest is survived by three brothers; Curtis (Shirley) Cureton of Diehlstadt, MO, Windford “Buck” (Delania) Cureton of Sikeston, MO, Milford “Mip” Cureton of Crowder, MO, two sisters; Berdine Wilkerson of Blodgett, MO, Kathryn Hamilton of Morley, MO, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Melvin Cureton, June Cureton, Bill Cureton and one sister; Paulette Bell.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Bell, Logan Pendergrass, Mitch Hudson, Bryce Jung, Trevor Hudson, Brandon Hudson and Richard Cureton.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral will be held at 12:00 PM with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, near Bell City, MO. Brother Mike Lee will be officiating.
Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO will be in charge of the arrangements.
