Eleanor Cecilia (Seiler) Nenninger-Macke, 77, of Leopold, passed away at her home on December 1, 2024. She was born on January 23, 1947, to the late Herman and Helen (Brauer) Seiler. She was a 1965 high school graduate of Leopold High School.
Eleanor and Stanley Nenninger were married on May 4, 1968. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1988. She later married Gerard Macke on November 24, 2007.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. She worked at the hat factory in Marble Hill for several years and she was a cook at Leopold School. She would also babysit at her home.
Eleanor was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church in Leopold. She was a member of St. Anne Sodality and the KC Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband: Gerard Macke; daughter: Sherry (Michael) Woods; stepchildren: Ryan Macke, Barbara Schroeppel, Kelly Macke; sister: Bernice Schatte; special family friend: Lexi Kruithoff; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her parents; brothers: Alvin and Gerald Seiler; husband: Stanley Nenninger; brother-in-law: H. Lucky Schatte.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Parish Prayers and Rosary Service will begin at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be led by Father Vincent Rathappillil, Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00 am, at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
