Eric Leon Jaco, age 83, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away on July 10, 2025, at Stonebridge Senior Living surrounded by his loving family and wife.
Born on October 4, 1941, in McGee, to the late Harley and Alice (Carver) Jaco. Leon was a proud U.S. Army veteran and a skilled mechanic by trade. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially camping with his family, and later in life, participating in shooting matches and fishing.
Leon Jaco and Bonnie Bess were united in marriage on June 3, 1961, in Gray Ridge, Missouri, near Essex. Leon and Bonnie were active members of the American Legion Post 113 in Granite City, Illinois, where they found both friendship and fellowship.
Leon is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jaco; his son, Chris Jaco; his grandchildren, Eric (Luci) Jaco, Chandler (Tucker) Chaney, and Collin (Miranda) Ritter; and his great-grandchildren, Jade Jaco, Alison Jaco, and RaeAnne Jaco. He is also survived by his sister: Connie Graves.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his children: David Jaco and Angie Tanner; and siblings: Dalford Jaco, Moddy Jaco, Betty Storie and Ruby Long.
Pallbearers will be Jack Bess, Raymond Storie, Jeremy Barks, Josh Gale, Brad Bracken and Eric Jaco.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will be beginning at 1:00 pm, with Jerry Howell officiating. Burial will follow at McGee New Hope Cemetery near Arab.
