Ethel Lou Myers

Ethel Lou Myers, 89, of Marble Hill, passed away on September 16, 2023, in Advance, MO, at the Aspire Nursing Facility. Ethel was born on November 2, 1933, to the late Oscar Lee and Delphia (Gaines) Myers.

Ethel liked to work in the garden. She loved to quilt and crochet. She made numerous hats and Afghans. She worked for many years at the hat factory, prior to retiring. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and was an ordained minister for 30 years. in her later years, she pastored the Calvary Temple Church in Marble Hill, MO, for 10 years.

On April 12, 1951, Ethel and Orville Myers were united in marriage in Piggott, Arkansas. They had three children: Roger, Renay and Robert. Orville preceded her in death in 2013.

Survivors include: one son: Roger (Barbara) Myers of Glen Allen, MO; one daughter: Renay Myers of Marble Hill, MO; one brother: Linzie Myers of Zalma, MO; and six grandchildren: William, Jason, Becky, Chad, Casey and Christina Myers.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband and one son, Robert Myers.

Services will be held at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with her grandson Jason Myers officiating. Burial will follow at the Baker Cemetery.
