Gary Lincoln Obituary

Gary Lee Lincoln, caring husband, devoted father of four, and proud grandfather of nine, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 65 on November 29, 2025.

Born on October 2, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, MO, Gary married Beverly Kay (Collier) Lincoln on July 7, 1985. Together, they shared 40 years of marriage.

Mr. Lincoln was a graduate of Woodland High School and later graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia in 1983 with a vocational agriculture teaching degree. Later he found a lifetime career for selling insurance, which he was very successful in, winning numerous awards. Gary wasn’t afraid of hard work.

Gary loved the Lord and had the blessed assurance of his salvation. He delighted in his grandchildren and will be remembered fondly for saying, “Here’s a dollar for a hard day’s work!”, a simple way of teaching them the value of a work ethic. You would often find him at a cattle auction or feeding his own cattle, which he loved doing.

Mr. Lincoln is survived by his wife Beverly; children Kara (Tyler) Agnew of Libertyville, IL, Andrea (Andrew) Miller of Piedmont, MO, Matthew (Megan) Lincoln of Puxico, MO, and Benjamin (Breckyn) Lincoln of Lake St. Louis, MO; and grandchildren Jayden, Ryn, Kaitlyn, Jordyn, Caynan, Logan, Hudson, Adelyn, and Elias as well as 2 sisters Patricia Hendricks (Randy), Advance, MO and LaDonna Petzoldt (Larry) Altenburg, MO and 1 brother Richard Lincoln Linneus, MO and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman William and Elsie Lou Upchurch Lincoln; brothers, Max, Jack and Donald Lincoln; and sisters Mary Lou Ozment, Linda Sims, Wanda Foster and Helen Jackson.

A service will be held at Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 5, 2025, beginning at 10:00am officiated by Jim Null and Jason Myers. Burial to follow at Cook Cemetery.
