Gerald Leon McCormick, 88, of Marble Hill, passed away on October 30, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on February 6, 1936, to the late Ben and Virgie (Lee) McCormick, in Chaffee. He was a graduate of Chaffee High School. Gerald was a self-employed tire broker for McCormick Tire.
Gerald was a humble and kind man with a great love for the Lord and enjoyed studying his bible. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply and was devoted to his family. Gerald loved to two-step and taught dance classes for several years. He was very active in whatever he did, and even took flying lessons.
He is survived by his children: Gerald Bryan McCormick, Cara Lee McCormick, and Joanne Marie Griffin of Marble Hill, Ashley (Andrew) Packwood of Springfield, Mo; sister: Donna McCormick of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren: Lyndsey, Jacquelyn, Inty and Joseph; two great grandchildren: Sophia and Lucas; very close nephew: David (Lori) McCormick.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Rita Menard, Ronald (Mack) McCormick, Harold McCormick, Cecil McCormick, and Patricia Greer.
Private Family Services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, with David McCormick officiating.
