Glenda Jean (Deck) Wall

Glenda Jean Wall, 80, of Glen Allen, MO, passed away October 24, 2023, at the St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. Glenda was born on January 12, 1943, in Glen Allen, MO, to the late Gilbert and Helen (McCall) Deck. She was a graduate of Lutesville High School.

On September 28, 1960, Glenda Deck and Richard Wall were united in marriage. Of this marriage, Richard and Glenda had two children, Allen and Belinda. Glenda and Richard were inseparable during their lifetime together. They loved to spend time with each other. They attended the Bible Believers Fellowship for over 20 years, raising their children with loving Christian values. Richard passed away in June of 2023.

Glenda loved to raise a garden and can the bounty of vegetables she raised. She loved to cook and bake pies and cobblers. She not only loved her family; she made quilts to keep them warm. She was fond of reading. She liked to read her bible, and Amish romance books.

Many things can be said about Glenda, but she loved her family deeply and loved to spend time with everyone. She was more than just a mother and grandmother; she was a woman of virtue. She was always willing to lend an ear, and give someone advice to help them along their way. Glenda was a loving, caring, compassionate, mother, grandmother and best friend. She was a prayer warrior for her family and her friends.

Survivors include: one son: Allen (Stephanie) Wall of Glen Allen, MO; one daughter: Belinda (Joe) Brown of Marble Hill, MO; one brother: Archie (Judy) Deck of Imperial, MO; one sister: Bessie (Thomas) Wall; four grandchildren Katelyn Wall, Doug (Ashley) Buchmiller, Justin (Molly) Brown, Jennette (Aaron) Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her parents.

Pallbearers: Steve Wall, Joe Brown, Justin Brown, Dougie Buchmiller Bobby Miller, Katelyn Wall, Jennette Anderson. Honorary Pallbearer is Stephanie Wall.

Services for Glenda will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm, with Bro. Bruce Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Glen Allen Cemetery.
