Gloria Lue Clowes, 88, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away on April 1st, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Gloria was born on July 13, 1934 in Parma, MO, to the late Charles and Lola (Taylor) Boyt.
Gloria was a housewife, homemaker and knitter. She loved to knit beanies, and many of the beanies were donated to the schools for children who didn’t have a hat to wear. She also loved to make quilt tops. Gloria had a love for cardinals, the birds and the St. Louis Cardinals team.
Gloria and Charles “Chuck” Clowes were united in marriage on May 31, 1969 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He survives.
The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel of Marble Hill, MO is assisting the family. Services have not been made at this time.
