Howard Harold Dippold Jr., known best has Harold, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born on May 26, 1943, in Jugtown, Missouri, to the late Howard Harold Dippold Sr. and Mary Brown.
Harold and Thelma Rhodes were united in marriage on March 17, 1962. Together they raised two daughters, Carolyn and Donna and celebrated nearly 60 years of marriage before Thelma’s passing on June 11, 2021. They tended and grew a bountiful garden at their home, canning the vegetables that they grew and making sure all of those around them had plenty to eat. Harold loved to mow and work outside in the yard and the garden.
Survivors include his daughters: Carolyn (Kevin) Steger and Donna (Dennis) Kuehn; grandchildren: Shaun, Jesse, Jessica and Erica; great grandchildren: Liam, Logan, Elijah, Ethan, Madelyn, Mallori and Isaiah; one great great granddaughter: Naomi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one brother: Melvin Dippold.
Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Pendergrass Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm, with Bro. Otis Long officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Kevin Steger, Shaun Steger, Liam Steger, Kenny Rhodes, Jesse Kuehn and Victor Gregori.
