James Edward Byland II

James Edward Byland II, 70, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away on June 10, 2023, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born December 31, 1952, in Syracuse, Indiana to the late James E. and Mildred (Anderson) Byland I.

James was a graduate of West Chicago High School. He joined the United States Air Force on April 23, 1975 and remained active until November 19, 1976, where he worked as a dental hygienist. He earned the rank of A1C during his enlistment.

James and Charlotte Beck were united in marriage in 1979 in Wichita Falls, TX at the US Air Force Base. She survives.

He liked to ride horses, go fishing and work on vehicles. James was always known to help anyone if they needed something.

Aside from his wife Charlotte, he is survived by four sons: James (Amanda) Byland, Shawn Byland, both of Marble Hill, Richard Byland of Austin, TX, Kenneth Anderson of Dexter, MO; two daughters: Kirsten (Michael) Lincoln, Angel (Harley Storie) Byland; one sister: Jane Boorsma of Dekalb, IL, 13 grandchildren: Alex Burton, Garrett Jones, Samantha, Jacob and Jared Byland, Austin Ford, MiKayla Byland, Tristen Storie, Ronnie (Danielle) Woodfin, Cody (Rochelle) Lincoln, Ghannette (Dustin) Overbey, Kathleena (Shane) Snider, Bobbijo Lincoln and 15 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM. Memorial Service with full military honors will begin at 12:00 PM.
