James Richard Stewart, age 60, of Patton, Missouri, passed away on October 8, 2025. He was born on August 16, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Wallace and Sandra (Collins) Stewart.
James is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Sandra (Long) Stewart. The two were married on September 26, 1998, at New Salem Baptist Church. He is also survived by his son, Brian Hamm; daughters, Alissa Stewart and Hannah Stewart; several brothers and sisters; and four grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
James was a man who loved the great outdoors, whether he was hunting, bow hunting, fishing, or simply soaking in the peace of the woods. He enjoyed swimming and was always happiest when surrounded by nature.
He spent much of his life on the road as a truck driver and had an incredible work ethic. When he wasn’t driving, he put his green thumb to work as a horticulturist, always determined to grow the biggest pumpkins each year. He lived his life doing what he loved and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
