James "Tom" Thomas Sanders Jr.

James Thomas Sanders Jr., passed away on March 27, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 31, 1961, to the late James T. Sanders and Eveline Ruth Baremore, in Scott County, Missouri. He achieved a bachelor’s degree at the College of the Ozarks.

Known to his friends and family as “Tom”, he was a loving and compassionate husband, father, coach, mentor and dedicated to his faith.  He served on the local school board at Bloomfield R-XIV School District, retired from MoDOT and enjoyed teaching Sunday school for over 30 years at both, Fellowship Baptist in Sikeston and First General Baptist in Bloomfield. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Tom is survived by his wife: Alice “Faye” (Berry) Sanders; daughter: Colleen (Richard) Russell of Munford, TN; son: James Thomas Sanders III of Rogers, AR; sister: Sharon Moore. He was preceded by his parents; siblings: Vickie Sanders and Scott Sanders.
