Janice Lucile Christakis

Janice Lucile Christakis, 100, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away January 2, 2023 at her home. Janice was born October 13, 1922, to the late William and Mary (Meehan) Malcuit.

Janice was a co-owner of PJ’s Bar in Dallas, TX before retiring and moving to Marble Hill, MO. She loved antiques. Collecting, buying, selling and searching for treasures is what she loved to do. While she was out antiquing, she always looked her best.

Janice was of the Catholic faith, previously attending St. John Catholic Church in Leopold, MO. Janice was married to George Christakis, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brother: Richard Heffner; a number of nieces and nephews; and an abundance of friends.

Aside from her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Jim and Bill Malcuit, Kenneth Heffner and one sister: Pat Hastings.

Pallbearers will be: Larry Massa, Terry Massa, Randy Massa, Johnny Heffner, Tim Hastings, Robin Hastings. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Heffner and Jeff Hastings. Bro. Jerry Stevens will officiate.

Services will be held at Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. on January 5, 2023. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Parish Prayers will be at 11:30 AM. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Baker Cemetery.
