Jerry Jordan Obituary

Jerry Wayne Jordan, 77, of Perryville, MO, passed away on June 19, 2023 in Cape Girardeau, MO, at the St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on September 27, 1945, in Essex, MO, to the late Hayward and Ethel (Forthman) Jordan.

Jerry was a Poplar Bluff High School graduate. He then served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. He was a truck driver for a number of years, hauling propane gas. He enjoyed piddling in his garage, working in the yard and he loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.

Jerry and JoEll Pierce were united in marriage on August 2, 1969 in St. Louis, MO. She survives.

Aside from his wife; Jerry is survived by one daughter: Julie (Terry) Church of Perryville, MO; one son: Scott (Deidre) Jordan of Wentzville, MO; six grandchildren: Breanna Williams of St. Genevieve, MO, Chase (Marisa) Williams of St. Mary, MO, Kylie (Matthew) Healy of South Hill, WA, Brock Neace of Perryville, MO, Kaleb Jordan of Marion, IL, Grace Jordan of Marion, IL; three step grandchildren: Brittany (Tyler Linsman) Birk of Wentzville, MO, Tyler Church of Perryville, MO, Zachary (Madison Lange) Church of Perryville, MO; three great grandchildren: Colton Linsman, Levi Sleyster, Emmett Healy and one great granddaughter on the way; seven siblings: Kathy (RC) Dreyer, Carolyn (Dowell) Whittle, Larry (Sharon) Jordan all of Poplar Bluff, MO, Lois (Fred) Messer of Kerrville, TX, Carl (Lola) Jordan of Wappapello, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Levan Jordan, Joe Jordan and Chuck Jordan; and his in laws: Frank and Venedia Pierce.

The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO is assisting the family during this time. No services have been made, as Jerry’s wishes were to be cremated.
