Jesse Curtis Van De Ven, 61, of Marble Hill, passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, on March 17, 2026. He was born to the late Thomas Van De Ven and Carolyn Smith, on January 10, 1965, in Lemoore, California.
Jesse loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed watching football. Despite his circumstances, he was never hindered from doing the things he loved. He always wore a smile on his face and never complained. His positivity never went unnoticed and made others around him see that you could make the best of any situation, if you chose to do so. Jesse loved his nieces and nephews and always enjoyed the time spent playing board games and rummy.
Survivors include his sisters: Debbie (Andrew) Holland, Becky (Bradley) Hoffman; nieces and nephews: Caleb Moyers, Brandi Biberstine, Olivia Wagner, Thomas Hoffman and Britni Blockson; thirteen great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Hoffman, Zach Biberstine, Landon Blockson, Bradley Hoffman, Andrew Holland and Dylan Wagner.
Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Pendergrass Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm, with Bro. Jim Null officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Leopold.
