Joe E. Barker Jr.

Joe E. Barker Jr., 53, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on October 27, 2024. He was born on February 11, 1971, to Joe E. Barker and Daun Peters.  He attended Woodland High School.

Joe spent the last several years living in Florida. He was a handyman, doing jobs like electrical, plumbing and carpentry work.  It was said that Joe was “as tough as a pine knot”. He was always on the go and never let anything get in his way. He appreciated his alone time and did things his way.

He is survived by his father: Joe E. Barker Sr. of Glen Allen, MO; sisters: Carrie Seppelfrick of Deklab, IL, Mary Brandt of Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother: Daun (Peters) Howington; grandparents: James E. and Bertha (Goad) Barker, Ed and Helen (Peters) Abbott; three uncles and three aunts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 23, 2024, at 12:00 pm, at the Outreach Worship Center in Marble Hill. The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel has assisted with arrangements.
