John Alan Lovell

John Alan Lovell of Leopold was born on March 7, 1951, in West Plains, Missouri.  He passed away, peacefully on July 31, 2024, at the age of 73, at the Stonebridge Senior Living Facility in Marble Hill.

John and Jerene (Jansen) Lovell were married on April 28, 2003, in Dexter, Missouri. John and Jerene celebrated 21 years of marriage together. She survives.

Mr. Lovell was a longtime member of St. John Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #5898 in Leopold. He proudly earned his 4th degree assembly 1740 with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his birds and spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and appreciated the flowers. John will be remembered as someone who always had a trick up his sleeve and a story to tell.  He was a retired factory worker.

He is survived by his wife: Jerene Lovell of Leopold; children: Monica Lovell and Bryon Lovell of Dexter; two siblings; step children: Joe Keller of Allentown, PA, Jennifer (Jackie) Garland of Marble Hill, John (Drieka) Keller of Leopold. John was a grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of six.

John was preceded in death by his parents: John and Maudie Lovell and his daughter-in-law: Tonya Keller.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10:00 am, at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
