Karen Kay Kinder, 77, of Marble Hill, passed away at her home on June 21, 2024. She was born on December 4, 1946, in Crossett, Arkansas, to John Willis and Norma (Carnes) Kelley. Karen was a 1964 graduate of Kennett High School and later attended Arkansas State University.
Mrs. Kinder loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and doing yard work. Her time spent inside was sewing and working on quilts. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and was good at spoiling them.
Karen Kelley and Virgil Kinder were united in marriage on July 5, 2010, in Kennett, MO. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2018.
Survivors include her sons: Kevin (Fontaine) Sullivan of Owensville, MO, Brett (Mindy) Sullivan of Greenwood, IN; step-daughter: Jacqueline (Dustin) Koch of Jackson, MO; brother: Thomas (Linda) Kelley of Kennett, MO; sister: Kathy (Leslie) Carnes of Oxford, MS; grandchildren: Dustin (Lauren) Sullivan, Shelby (Caleb) McCord, Hope Sullivan, Reagen Sullivan, and Alyssa, Dominic, Micah and Elijah Koch; great grandchildren: Kyleigh, Amelia and Oliver Sullivan, Stetson and Sutton McCord.
The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is assisting the family during this time. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
