Kathryn Faye (Cureton) Hamilton

Kathryn Faye Hamilton, 73, of Oran, MO, passed away on April 8th, 2023 in St. Louis, MO. She was born December 11, 1949, in Bessville, MO, to the late Charley and Iona (Skaggs) Cureton.

Kathryn was a CNA for most of her life, and a homemaker for the years she wasn’t able to work anymore. She loved to take care of everyone around her. Everyone was always welcome in her home. She attended Church on the Rock in Morehouse, MO for many years.

She is survived by: three sons: Johnny Ladd, Bradley Ladd both of Oran, MO, Daniel Ladd of Wappapello, MO; three daughters: Diana Ladd of Bell City, MO, Cindy Ladd of Oran, MO, and Pamela Kelly of Malden, MO; three brothers: Winford “Buck” Cureton of Oran, MO, Milford “Mip” Cureton of Crowder, MO, Curtis (Shirley) Cureton of Sikeston, MO; one sister: Berdine Wilkerson of Blodgett, MO; twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Ernest "Doc" Cureton, Melvin Cureton, Junior Cureton, Wilford “Bill” Cureton; and one sister: Paulette Bell.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Bell City, MO, at the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
