Kenneth Ray Rhodes

Kenneth Ray Rhodes, 72, of Marble Hill, passed away at his home on December 14, 2024. He was born to the late Joseph and Nancy (Kirkpatrick) Rhodes, on January 11, 1952, in Shrum, Missouri. Kenny was one of the last to be drafted into the United States Army in 1972. He remained in the Army until 1974.

Kenneth married his sweetheart, Loretta Martin on July 3, 1971. Kenny and Loretta celebrated 53 years of marriage and were always by each other’s side. You could very so often find them both sitting on the couch together. They attended Old Union Methodist for over 25 years.

He liked to spend time with his family, and he loved his grandchildren. He hunted, fished and went camping when he was able. And although he had a sort of dry sense of humor, he was always throwing out “one liners.”

Survivors include his wife: Loretta Rhodes; son: Kenneth (Mekesha) Rhodes Jr.; daughter: April Alana Rhodes; brother: Elzie (Sue) Rhodes; grandchildren: Tasha, Brandon, Chelsea, Zachary, Zoey, Makenna ; great grandchildren: Ellie, Bella, Emma, Brooklyn, Everleigh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Elmer, George, Lloyd, Carl, Thelma, Raymond, Norma Jean and Delzie; and his granddaughter: Lauren.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Rhodes, Brandon Rhodes, Zachary Rhodes, Zachary Beel, Generro Martin, Joey Rhodes, Kenny Angel and Brad Blattel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dave Martin, Elzie Rhodes and Harold Dippold.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Bro. Kenny Massa officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery.
