Kenneth "Kenny" Allen Johnson

Kenneth Allen Johnson, 58, of Jackson, MO, passed away on September 30, 2023, at the Monticello House in Jackson, MO. He was born on October 2, 1964 to Alan and Leona (Shelton) Johnson, in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Kenneth was a 1982 graduate of Parkview State School in Cape Girardeau, MO. Although Kenny’s abilities were limited, his smile, laughter, saluting people and blowing kisses were limitless. Kenny spent his last years at the Monticello House of Jackson.

The family would like to thank the staff that took Kenny under their wings. We wish we could express names, but impossible to do without leaving someone out. The family would also like to thank Crown Hospice for contributing to his care and helping the family navigate through his final days. We also would like to thank Eric Pendergrass of the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel, who made a very difficult time, bearable.

Survivors include: his mother: Leona Johnson of Jackson, MO; one brother: Raymond (Lori) Johnson of Jackson, MO; two sisters: Cheryl Reed of Perryville, MO, Jackie (Jamie) Myers of Chaffee, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Johnson.

Private family services for Kenny will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Burial will follow at the Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill, MO.
