Lilo K Conrad, 97, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning, December 8, 2021, at her home In Glen Allen, Missouri. Lilo was born “Liselotte Kunigunde Wagner” on August 22, 1924, in Heppenheim, Germany. Lilo married David Kinder Conrad on March 22, 1950, in Heppenheim.
Lilo and Dave had five children: the late Barbara (Jay) Boyer, David (Dodi) Conrad, Diane (Kenny) Holzum, Margaret Conrad, and Susanna (Gary) Horinka; a sister, Hilda Caldwell; nine grandchildren: Laurie, Jamie, Margaret Jr., Joey, Andrea, DK, Courtney, Maddie, and Cole; six great-grandchildren: Jessie, Josie, Jake, Kristin, Mars, and Penelope; six great-great-grandchildren: Alaina, Darcy, Chase, Lane, Brixxon, and Ryder, who predeceased her.
Lilo was a member of the Lutesville Presbyterian Church and a member of the VFW Auxillary for many years, holding the offices of president, secretary, and historian. She was often asked to speak at various organizations and schools to inform others about her German heritage. Lilo was a loving wife, mother, and Oma. She will be missed.
Visitation and funeral services will be at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri, on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Vester officiating. Burial will follow in the Marble Hill Cemetery.
