Loma Loris (Deck) Woodfin

Loma Loris Woodfin, 87, of Glen Allen, Missouri, passed away on October 4, 2023, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Loma was born on September 28, 1936, to the late Roy and Gertrude (Shell) Deck, in Hahn, Missouri.

She was a graduate of the Lutesville High School. Loma was an easy-going lady. She loved to read. She liked to garden and canned in her younger years. She thought a lot of her cats. Loma worked as a bookkeeper at the Bollinger County CO-OP in Marble Hill for over 30 years, from the early 1970’s until her retirement.

Loma Deck and Eldon Woodfin were united in marriage on September 4, 1954 in Lutesville, Missouri. They had two children, Stan and Loris. Eldon preceded her in death on April 9, 2017. She cared abundantly for her family, always thinking of everyone else ahead of herself.

As a firm believer, she was a long-time member of the Little Valley Independent Baptist Church in Marble Hill. She spent countless hours reading her bible, always keeping her faith in God first.

Survivors include: her son: one daughter: Loris (Ronnie) Lincoln of Glen Allen, MO; Stan (Pam) Woodfin of Marble Hill, MO; one sister: Nedra Peters of Glen Allen, MO; seven grandchildren: Ron (Melissa), Greg (Amanda) and Danny (Chelsey) Lincoln, Erin (Nathan) Stroder, Kelli (Alex) Crowe, Allison and Matthew Woodfin; thirteen great grandchildren with two one the way; one great-great grandchild; and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers: Dale and Clifford Deck.

Services for Loma will be held at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with Bro.’s Aaron Allen and TJ Null officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Baker Cemetery, near Marble Hill, MO.
