Lonnie Joe Cureton

Lonnie Joe Cureton, 69, of Glen Allen, MO, passed away March 30, 2023, at the Stonebridge Nursing Facility in Marble Hill, MO. Joe was born on September 20, 1953 to the late Robert and Leoma (Skaggs) Cureton in Besseville, MO.

Joe was a sawmill worker for most of his life. He loved to go hunting and fishing anytime he could. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a special place in his heart for his dog, “Bootsy.”

Joe is survived by two brothers: Paul “Bead” Cureton of Advance, MO, Roy Cureton of Glen Allen, MO; three sisters: Colleen “Sissy” Cureton of Glen Allen, MO, Modean Schaefers of Jefferson City, MO, Alleen Gromer of Marble Hill, MO; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Bobby Gene Cureton, Troy Lee Cureton; and one sister: Pauline Cureton.

Services will be held on April 3, 2023 at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery.
