Marjorie Dean Bollinger, 84, of Marble Hill, passed away on February 13, 2026, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born on September 29, 1941, in Arbor, Missouri, to the late Charles Pelts James and Nellie May Lincoln. Marjorie James was united in marriage to James Ray Bollinger in 1958. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Marjorie had a great liking for paranormal investigation shows, ghost hunters, and mysteries about the “unknown”. She was very sassy and a favorite among residents at the assisted living facility. In her younger years she enjoyed embroidery and worked as a CNA. She liked puzzles and cryptograms, and truly enjoyed listening to Sis Massa play guitar and sing.
Survivors include her grandchildren: Dena (Alan) Estes, Angie (Garan) Engelen; great grandchildren: Chyna, Charles, Samantha, James, Riley, and Emma; great-great grandchildren: Mark and Malachi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: James “Bear” Bollinger; daughter: Freida Jonell Bollinger; brother: Jackie Wayne James.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Bro. Jerry Stevens officiating and Rhonda “Sis” Massa singing. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery.
