Martha Ann (Myers) Peters

Martha Ann Peters, 81, of Marble Hill passed away on April 10, 2024, at the Chaffee Nursing Center. Martha was born in Randalls, MO, on November 16, 1942, to the late Joseph and Lorene (Menz) Myers.

She was a retired director of the Bollinger County Nutrition Center, as well as serving on the Bollinger County Circuit Clerk and as the Recorder of Deeds. Martha enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and her many friends. She also loved to play cards and games.

Martha and Januar Peters were married in June of 1985, at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold, MO. They celebrated the renewal of vows in 2012, and Januar preceded his bride in death in January of 2013.

Martha is survived by: one son: Randall (Deborah) Ladd; one daughter: Sherrie Caylor, both of Paducah, KY; three grandchildren: Korwin Ladd, Travis Caylor and Madison Caylor; two sisters: Joan Myers Hargate, Vickie Myers (Tommy) Slinkard; four brothers: Cline (Betty) Myers, Steve (Ann) Myers, Stan (Ruth) Myers and Rickie Myers; and to numerous of friends to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers: Fred, Joe, Bud, and Nick Myers; and a baby sister.

The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with Martha’s final wishes. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold, MO. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held at the K of C Hall in Leopold, following the burial.
