Mary Lee (Whitehead) Fisher

Mary Lee Fisher, 88, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away on May 28, 2023, at her home. She was born in Bernie, MO, on Christmas Day, December 25, 1934, to the late Leo and Letha (Ladd) Whitehead.

Mary was married to Charles Fisher on October 20, 1954. She and Charles spent a lot of their time in a john boat on the lake. They loved to go fishing. They raised a garden and canned vegetables. They attended Balch Church in Zalma, MO for a number of years. Of this union together, they had seven children: Ricky, Michael, Charles, Ronald, Jerry, Calvin and Pam. Charles preceded her in death in 1983.

Mary was a homemaker until Charles’ passing, then she worked at the shoe factory until she retired. She was a loving mother to her children, and spent the majority of her time with her grandchildren in her later years. With her bright clothes and a snappy comeback, she sure knew how to make someone smile.

Mary is survived by four sons: Ricky Fisher of Marble Hill, MO, Michael (Gene) Fisher of Glen Allen, MO, Charles Fisher of Marble Hill, MO, Ronald (Lisa) Fisher of Dongola, IL; one daughter: Pam (Dennis) Willis of Marble Hill, MO; one sister: Donna Hellings; fourteen grandchildren: Michael Jr., Tanika, Dana, Charles Jr., Amber, Ronald Jr., Shelly, Lacy, Emily, Dennis Jr., Brandi, Calvin Jr., Dustin, and Randy; and thirty-one great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: Jerry Fisher; four brothers: Ronald, Donald, Billy and Gary Whitehead; four sisters: Shirley Carlton, Ruth Whitehead, Gene Fortner, Janice Snider; and one great grandchild: Liam Allen. Her son, Calvin passed away a few hours after his mother, on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Pallbearers will be: Cory Bacon, Ronald Fisher Jr., Charles Fisher Sr., Charles Fisher Jr., Dennis Willis Jr., and Chuck Neely.

Services will be held at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 2, 2023. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, June 3, 2023, with the Rev. Jerry Stevens and Rev. Aaron Allen officiating. Services will conclude at the Balch Cemetery near Zalma, MO, with her grandson, Charles “CJ” Fisher Jr. officiating.
