Mary Ann Jones

Mary Ann Jones, 79, of Marble Hill, passed away peacefully at her home, on December 8, 2024. She was born on October 3, 1945, in St. Louis, to the late Wilbert and Lela (Pingle) Hotop.

Mary loved to play bingo and the excitement sure came out whenever she won. She never met a stranger and she claimed everyone around her, regardless of if you were family or not. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary was a homemaker and made sure that her family was taken care of. She would crochet gifts for all of those around her.

Mary loved going to church and attended at New Salem Baptist in Marble Hill.

Survivors include her children: Misty Jones, Tina Jones, Mickey (Jill) Glaub, Elizabeth Jones, Scott (Robin) Jones, Tim (Abby) Jones; brother: Donald Hotop; grandchildren: Jayden, Kyle, Skyler, Lincoln, Trent, Kirsten, Austin, Heather, Jeff, Chris, Angel, Angelina, Nathan, Emily, Faith, Dakota, Derick; great grandchildren: Dominic, Matthew, Tucker, Brady, Tatum, Khole J., Hazel, Lily, Destiney, Cayden, Khole L., Nolan, Waylon, Remee, Reign, Quentin, Ozzy, Marissa, Colton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Robert Jones; children: Michael Glaub, Kevin Hotop, Anthony Jones; grandchildren: Nicole and Daniel; brother-in-law: William “Bill” Jones.

Pallbearers: Kyle Balsman, Trent Parmer, Mickey Glaub, Derrick Meek and Tim Balsman.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at New Salem Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Bro. Randy Poole and Bro. Derrick Meek officiating.
