Mary "Sharon" Hopkins Obituary

Mary Elizabeth “Sharon” Hopkins, passed away on March 23, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Sharon was born on January 7, 1947, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to the late John Rusk Woods and Agnes Vienneau. She was a high school graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Inglewood, California and later went on to Cal State Fullerton.

Sharon married the love of her life, William "Bill" Hopkins, on August 29, 1991, at St.John Catholic Church in Leopold. She was devoted to her husband Bill and loved spending time with their dogs and bouncing ideas off each other to solve problems and learn new things.  They attended St. John Catholic Church in Leopold and loved their church family and friends.

Sharon was a talented artist and had a great passion for restoring antique furniture. The desire she had to bring old furniture “back to life”, could be seen in every piece that she restored. She was an avid gardener and landscaper and enjoyed spending countless hours in her flower gardens. Training horses and publishing books was also part of Sharon’s attributes.

Survivors include her husband: Bill Hopkins; her son: Jeff (Wendy) Snowden; and grandson: Dylan Snowden and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister: Theresa Bergeron.
