Maudie Leone Brown, 74, of Marquand, passed away at her home on May 17, 2026. She was born on April 18, 1952, to the late John and Maudie (Groce) Lovell, in West Plains, Missouri. Maudie was a 1970 high school graduate of Bloomfield, Missouri.
Maudie and Curtis Brown were married on December 26, 1988. They celebrated 37 years of marriage together and worked side by side on their family farm. She was a devoted homemaker to her children and a farm wife beside her husband. She enjoyed bead work, crocheting, needlework, fishing and gardening. Maudie loved animals and was always willing to help rehabilitate any animals in need.
She is survived by her husband: Curtis Brown; son: David Mondy; daughter: Vivian (Justin) Foster; and five grandchildren: Mahala, Leland, Eric, Lillian and Talon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Samuel Keith Gillhousen, Tom Joseph; brothers: John Lovell and Brad Lee Lovell.
The Pendergrass Funeral Home in Marble Hill is assisting the family with Maudie’s final wishes. No services have been made at this time.
