Michael Lynn Lutes, age 78, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on November 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 11, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to the late Floyd and Sybil (Gilliland) Lutes.
Michael married the love of his life, Monica (Mabuce) Lutes, on October 10, 1970, at Old Union Methodist Church in Lutesville, Missouri. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared 55 years of love, partnership, and devotion.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Michael spent his career at Procter & Gamble, where he later retired. He later co-owned Sunset Floral from 2003 to 2012. He also found great joy in raising his cattle.
Michael is survived by his wife, Monica; his son, Matthew (Amy) Lutes; his daughter, Holly (Stephen) Landewee; his sister, Mary Lutes; and his cherished grandchildren, Grace, Avery, Lucas, and Jonathan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Janet Lutes; and his granddaughter, Rose Claire.
The services will be held at Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. The first visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 18th and will resume at 9:00am on Wednesday, November 19th until the funeral service begins at 11:00am officiated by Fred Ritter.
Interment will be at a later date.
